The Hawthorns School is a thriving prep day school for children between the ages of 2 and 13. Located on an idyllic 35-acre estate in Bletchingley, Surrey, our mission is to prepare each child for life and to inspire a love of learning.  

We are seeking passionate and inspiring music teachers with a warm and caring approach to teach instrumental and singing lessons to children aged 4-13. Successful candidates will teach individual pupils of all abilities, as well as in pairs and/or in groups. Applicants will be experienced musicians within their field with proven ability as a performer and a teacher. Our music teachers play an active role in concerts and events relevant to their specialism. There may be opportunities to coach ensembles.   

Violin Teacher – required for two days per week. Experience of teaching children from Early Years is desirable. Singing Teacher – required for two days per week.

These part-time positions are on a self-employed basis during the School’s term time only.  Working days/hours to be discussed at interview.  Full details and an application pack are available on our website or from our HR Manager, Emma Mitchell hr@hawthorns.com
