The Music Department at St Mary’s School is a vibrant, successful and friendly department and we are seeking an enthusiastic, inspiring and experienced singing teacher to join our thriving department from September 2023. This is a self-employed role.  

Both curricular Music and extra-curricular activities at St Mary’s lead to outstanding examination results and a thriving programme of musical events, ranging from large-scale annual concerts at the University of Cambridge Concert Hall, to internal Young Pianist and Young Musician of the Year Competitions. The biennial musical production is also a major highlight of the Music Department’s calendar.

St Mary’s School is a girls-only, non-selective, Roman Catholic, all-through school with sixth form situated in Cambridge. It is an independent school with day and boarding options. A smaller than average school, it provides 750 places for junior, senior and sixth-form students between the ages of 3 and 18 when fully subscribed.

The school was founded by sisters from the Congregation of Jesus in 1898. They drew their inspiration from 17th-century religious sister the Venerable Mary Ward, basing it on her vision of the essential dignity of each human.
