Wycombe Abbey is seeking to employ an outstanding individual to lead, manage and further develop the ballet department. The new Teacher in Charge of Ballet must be a fully qualified and registered RAD teacher with experience in choreography and non-syllabus classes. The ability to teach ISTD modern and/or tap would be advantageous but not essential.
The role requires the delivery of both graded and vocational syllabuses and is a full-time post consisting of approx. 30 hours per week. Lessons take place during the school day and in the evening and can be timetabled around teacher availability. Class sizes are small and the pupils are motivated and enthusiastic, enjoying a wide range of teaching and learning techniques.
The post is most suited to a flexible and highly motivated candidate with a passion for classical ballet and group choreography. The role may suit an ambitious and driven newly qualified Ballet graduate.
