Benenden School is looking for a dynamic and inspirational musician to teach Double Bass up to and beyond Grade 8 standard.
The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of student repertoire and will be able to adapt their teaching style according to the level and personality of each individual. They will demonstrate initiative as well as the ability to work collaboratively for the benefit of the department and the School.

Benenden is one of the leading day and boarding schools in Britain. Founded in 1923, the School is situated in 250 acres of attractive parkland in Kent. There are 550 girls in the school, aged 11-18, the majority of whom are boarders, complemented by approximately 30 day boarders.
Music occupies a central place in the life of Benenden School - the department is alive with activity from early morning until the evening. A full programme of curriculum and individual teaching, ensemble playing and choral activity is delivered by 5 full-time staff and 25 visiting teachers.
The School opened its stunning new purpose-built Music and Concert Hall in June 2022 and all teaching rooms are equipped with new Yamaha pianos, ample space and beautiful views of the school’s landscaped grounds.
