An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and capable Visual Impairment support Coordinator.  With a turnover of £65m annually, the College Group services c.22,000 learners each year from a diverse variety of backgrounds. The purpose of this role is to assist the Team Leader for Students with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities in arranging quality learning support to blind and partially sighted learners; to undertake assessment of VI students and prepare plans of support for them; to provide advice and support to teachers across the College who have blind or partially sighted learners on their programmes. The post holder will be the main point of contact for all support queries/referrals for VI students and will be required to assess their needs, write a plan of support and organise relevant support. The successful candidate will be required to deliver awareness raising sessions around visual impairment and training sessions for support staff.
