Job overview

Wycombe Abbey International Schools Group

Wycombe Abbey School in the UK was founded in 1896 and is renowned for its academic excellence and the nurturing and development of the whole child. In 2015, BE Education partnered with WAS to establish its first international school in Changzhou. WASCZ is now highly successful and has gained outstanding academic credentials and an enviable regional reputation in the performing arts, creative arts and sports. The education at WASCZ is truly holistic and is founded upon the strengths of the full-boarding model.

Wycombe Abbey Schools added another school to the Group with the opening of Wycombe Abbey School Hong Kong in September 2019 and bilingual schools in Hangzhou and Nanjing in September 2021.

Each of the Wycombe Abbey Schools within the International Group exists as an institution, independently led and governed. However, each school benefits from the strength of the overall Group with synergies across the Group in areas such as teaching and learning, professional development, curriculum design and technology. These synergies, together with further benefits of being part of the larger BE Education Group provide excellent opportunities for career development and progression for all staff members. Wycombe Abbey School Nanjing (WASNJ) is situated just east of Nanjing city centre at the heart of the Tangshan Thermal Spring area. The site itself comprises two schools, a Lower School and an Upper School, providing exceptional education for students from EY through to Year 13 (Grade 12). Our school is a modern, purpose-built campus which includes a wide range of excellent facilities for your child to learn, grow and have fun in. This includes state of the art teaching classrooms and laboratories, a STEM centre, two libraries, 600 seat theatre, a dedicated Chinese cultural centre, a state of the art Early Years Centre and separate dedicated Upper and Lower School boarding houses. The sports centre houses two indoor gyms, a 25-meter swimming pool and an outdoor courts arena. These impressive facilities will allow your child to explore their interests across a range of subjects and activities and allow them to develop to their fullest potential

Wycombe Abbey School Nanjing is established as a private school enabling local Chinese nationals to enjoy the benefits of a Wycombe Abbey School education.  The majority of the student body will be Chinese nationals studying a unique programme where an internationalised programme complements the Chinese National Curriculum. The students will be taught in both Mandarin and English so that they can graduate from the School with undergraduate levels of both Mandarin and English and thereby flourish at premium universities all around the world.

A Wycombe Abbey education guarantees much more than just academic success.  Wycombe Abbey School Nanjing offers full boarding school for education to students from G1 through to G12 (Years 2 to 13) with outstanding facilities for learning, innovation and enterprise, performing arts and sport that are the hallmark of all schools in our Wycombe Abbey Schools Group.  Students will be prepared for undergraduate life in universities all around the world and for an increasingly international workplace, with close personal attention paid to the development of each student’s confidence, resilience, independence and character alongside the development of the collaborative skills required in life beyond school.
