Following a restructure of our Welfare Team, we are seeking to recruit a dynamic person to the role of Welfare Lead

Salary information: Scale SO2; £33,802 - £35,549 per annum + Special Schools Allowance; £1,344

Work pattern: Mon: 8:00am - 3:30pm Tues: 8:15am - 4:30pm Wed: 8:15am - 3:30pm Thurs: 8:15am - 4:30pm, Fri: 8:15am - 3:30pm

Working hours: 36 hours per week, 43 weeks (38 weeks term time, 5 training days and 4 weeks during the school holidays)

The main elements of this role are: Leading and managing the Welfare Team, Attendance, Care plans, Home liaison, Extended school

Applicants MUST:

  • Hold a degree or equivalent qualification, in a relevant subject, such as: education, health, social care or equivalent and evidence of a commitment to continuing learning and professional development OR at least 3 years’ experience working within the field of family support for students with SEN;
  • Be articulate and able to deal sensitively with a variety of situations with teachers, pupils, and parents
  • Have excellent administrative skills and demonstrate an understanding of office procedures 
  • Be computer literate
  • Be highly efficient and organised
  • Have the ability to be clear and assertive, whilst remaining calm, composed, tactful and flexible.
