Job overview

King Henry School has a really exciting opportunity to appoint a Well-being Manager, a brand new role for us. The well-being of our staff and students is of paramount importance and the Well-being Manager is crucial to the delivery of a highly effective and efficient service across the whole school. Supporting the leadership team in their drive to improve well-being, you'll be responsible for maximising the progress and outcomes for students by setting high standards and high expectations in terms of appearance (uniform), behaviour and attitude. Most importantly, you'll celebrate their success and achievements.

You'll have a real presence and visibility across the school; you'll develop close working relationships with staff and students. Our ideal candidate will be resilient, set high standards for themself and others, and be highly personable, approachable and empathetic. You will bring with you a range of experience working with secondary-aged young adults, an ability to foster excellent working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and contacts both within the academy and external agencies, and will have a positive mindset that means you will go over and above to support our students without a moment’s hesitation. If you feel you meet the criteria outlined and are the epitome of a caring and compassionate individual, you'll excel in this role.

The working basis of this role is 36 hours per week during Term Time plus 1 week inset.

Our Vision

We believe that every student should have the opportunity to be extraordinary through developing academic, physical and emotional confidence. This means having the courage to take risks and learn from their mistakes.  Success in education, as in sport, is the result of successive small failures followed by ever increasing challenges. As we tell our students;  “Everything worth achieving is outside your comfort zone.”
