Salary:                 Up to £35,525 per annum, dependent on experience

Hours:                 37.5 hours per week

Contract:             Permanent, 38 wks per annum

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinician to provide support to our Holden School in Leigh, and Oakfield House School in Preston.

We are looking for a Wellbeing Coordinator who can work with individual and small groups of children, taking a lead role in managing and delivering clinical support to pupils. Ensuring the safe management, supervision and directing of the clinical input to our children and young people.

You will provide advice and guidance to pupils relating to their social & emotional wellbeing, therapeutic needs and access to education. Establishing productive working relationships with both pupils, carers and school staff.  Acting as a role model to establish and maintain constructive relationships, exchanging information, facilitating support for their child’s attendance,  and access to learning as well as home to school and community links.

All our settings maintain a strong safeguarding culture, and our children and young people are heard, respected and involved in decisions that affect them wherever possible.

You will be responsible for managing and monitor universal, enhanced and specialist services / assessments for young people e.g. Educational Psych. Assessments, CBT, and Play Therapy. In line with EHCP’s / LAC Care Plans & commissioned services including case management oversight. You will line manage a team of wellbeing and therapeutic professionals  and monitor and measure the impact of services on our young people.

Location: Based at The Holden School, Leigh also supporting Oakfield House School, Preston.

The Holden School caters for Children and Young People aged between 4 and 16. Pupils may have learning difficulties and/or low attainment that are associated with their SEMH/ASC needs. Pupils may have specific learning difficulties associated with ASC, a range of complex learning and communication needs and additional needs such as dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia. Pupils may be admitted on the basis of their need for therapeutic support.

Oakfield House School is situated in Salwick near Kirkham. A beautiful country house, set in eight acres of parkland and dates back to the 1880’s. The school is easily accessible from the M6, M55 and the M65. It is registered for 42 boys and girls aged 5 to 12 years. The pupils at Oakfield school have a range of educational needs including emotional, social and Mental Health difficulties which have made it hard for them to cope with mainstream primary schooling. We are also able to provide a unique provision for children with Autistic Spectrum Conditions and children with complex needs in a purpose built facility attached to the school.

Essential Criteria:

Recognised and relevant Clinical qualification to degree level

Registration with appropriate Clinical bodies

Driving licence and access to vehicle

Experience of line management

Experience of working with specified client groups
