Ysgol y Grango is an English-medium, 11-16 secondary school located in the village of Rhosllanerchrugog, Wrexham. At Ysgol y Grango, we are a family and advocate the importance of belonging – cynefin. We aim to promote a love of learning within a safe, nurturing and ambitious learning environment, where individuals matter, and their happiness and wellbeing are of paramount importance.
We are large enough to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, while being small enough to provide the bespoke care and attention our students require to enable them to be a success.

Values and vision
Inspiring ACTions – Fulfilling Lives
We Are, We Care, We Share
The new Ysgol Y Grango vision has been derived from the work undertaken in developing the New Curriculum for Wales and our motto is “Inspiring ACTions – Fulfilling Lives: We Are, We Care, We Share”. This was constructed with input from all stakeholders, including the local community and employers, who know the area well and what they want and hope for the students of our school.
The vision also aligns with the National Mission and its 6 objectives with the aim of “achieving high standards and aspirations for all”. The symbol of our vision is the Stiwt Theatre and our values are ACT: Aspirational, Community and Transformational.
