About China Education Development Investment & Management Co. LTD

China Education Development (Investment & Management) Co. Limited (CED) provides comprehensive international education to students on the mainland and overseas. It aims to create “B to B” (Baby to Bachelor) through-train education to meet the demand for education in the new era.

Yew Chung International Schools (YICS) and Yew Wah International Education Schools (YWIES)

The YCIS is a renowned network of international schools in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Chongqing, Qingdao, and Silicon Valley (US), providing high quality bilingual (Chinese and English) and co-cultural (Eastern and Western) education from Early Childhood to Secondary. On the other hands, the YWIES is a reputable network of international education schools in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Yantai, and Tongxiang, also providing the same for Mainland Chinese students. While adhering to the requirements of the Chinese National Curriculum, YWIES takes a holistic approach to nurturing the whole child, providing a positive, caring and joyful learning environment that broadens students’ horizons, enabling them to become confident, well-balanced global citizens with strong roots in China.

YWIES shares the same rich heritage as YCIS. The first Yew Chung School was founded in 1932 in Hong Kong by Madam Tsang Chor Hang, who had a humble yet mighty vision to contribute to the development of modern China, hence the names ‘Yew Chung’ and ‘Yew Wah’, which mean to ‘glorify China’. This legacy is reflected in the Mission of all YCIS/YWIES schools, which together with the Principles and Practices Statement serve as the Guiding Statement of each school. This statement is not meant to be passive, but rather action-oriented with measurable impact, permeating everything we do, say and believe. It is deliberately aspirational and forward-looking, and it is critically important that our School leaders understand and embrace this.
