An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and inspiring Work Based Assessor to join the Hairdressing team within the Faculty of Hospitality, Hair and Beauty.
The faculty is based at the Laurence Building at Hele Road and provides a specialist learning environment in commercial salons which encourages our learners to thrive. Working with a highly successful and creative team you will have the opportunity to share ideas and skills with experienced colleagues.
You will need to be an experienced hairdresser with current industry knowledge, have exceptional hairdressing skills and great interpersonal skills. You will also need to be qualified in hairdressing to level 3 and hold an assessor qualification to enable you to fulfil your role. You will manage a caseload of learners and carry out theoretical & practical delivery of Apprenticeship Standards as well as assessments and reviews within the workplace. Your main role will be to support these learners to achieve their end point assessments whilst working collaboratively with employers building strong relationships to grow the apprenticeship provision at Exeter College.
You will be committed to teaching and learning whilst ensuring you deliver an exceptional experience for our learners and supporting them to achieve their full potential.
Candidates will need to demonstrate relevant previous experience and must have the drive and determination to ensure that students succeed.
Salary: £23,520 - £30,346 per annum, pro rata (please note progression beyond £26,576 is subject to having a relevant teaching qualification and timetabled classroom teaching)
