Job overview

The Barton Peveril Careers Department are looking for a part-time Work Experience Administrator to support our students in getting placements with employers in the local area. The Careers team are a small but very busy team and are very conscious of how important real experience of the workplace is in keeping students academically motivated, helping with their self-confidence and giving them skills for the future. The Careers team are aiming to get all of our vocational and most of our non-vocational students onto placements and need help in ensuring that placements are logged accurately, the correct documentation is received and that both students and employers are aware of their rights and obligations.

The work would suit anyone who is computer-literate, likes interacting with young people and is happy to work in a fast-paced environment. Hours can be adjusted to suit your commitments (e.g. school drop-off/pick-up times).

This role is part-time (22.5 hours per week to be worked in 3 days or spread across the week). Candidates can decide whether they would prefer to work full year or term time only. Salary will be pro rata from the FTE £16,000 - £17,000 per annum - Band B and will alter depending on whether a full year or term time only contract is chosen.

Full year: £9,729 - £10,337 actual salary

Term time: £8,321 - £8,841 actual salary
