The group is currently home to a population of over 5,000 full-time students and around 500 students on higher education programmes. We have over 4,000 part-time or adult learners and 2,000 apprentices where we work with over 800 individual employers. Our Sixth Form provision has a reputation for high academic achievement and excellence.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Work Placement team who are responsible for supporting the Director of Curriculum & Performance in ensuring the performance, monitoring and quality of all aspects of work experience and placement activity. The team maintain the College monitoring systems for placements and create reports to assist the wider leadership team track the student progress against all key performance indicators relating to work placement activity.

Main Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • To assist with establishing work placement opportunities and take the lead on maintaining professional relationships with all stakeholders.
  • To assist curriculum teams with students ‘self-placing’ for work placements.
  • To coordinate the paperwork and manage the internal system when assigning and monitoring work placements.
  • To ensure that all placement providers are able to offer sufficient placement opportunities for students, to develop their skills and demonstrate their competency in all areas

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Has relevant business admin qualifications to Level 3
  • Has previous experience of working in a role associated with work placements is desirable but not essential.
  • Holds a current driving licence and has access to their own vehicle.
  • Has a confident manner and is able to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Is familiar and confident using the common business software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
  • Is able to foster positive working relationships that can enhance opportunities and nurture strong partnerships.
