Work Placement Coordinator
Full-time (36 hours per week)
Grade 5 (£21,394 – £23,367)
An opportunity has arisen within the Work Placement team for a professional, self-motivated Work Placement Coordinator with a strong focus on customer service and attention to detail.
You will be required to proactively contact and develop long-term and sustainable relationships with employers to collaborate on a likeminded shared vision leading to an increase in work placement opportunities. As well as working closely with curriculum to identify industry areas of focus, sourcing of work placement opportunities, liaising with employers and effective and timely completion of related administration.
Your role will include liaising with students so all students are adequately prepared for their work placement and are empowered to make the most of the experience.
You will be able to work quickly and under pressure of deadlines, have experience using a range of IT packages and have excellent organisational skills. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and put the needs of the customer first. You will have a strong team approach and be flexible and responsive to the needs of the department and the college as a whole. Knowledge of current curriculum reform including T-Levels is an advantage.

Ashton Sixth Form College is the leading provider of 16-18 education in the area. The college is located in Tameside, Greater Manchester and supports around 2,000+ students on A-Level and vocational programmes. The college also offers a number of Adult and Higher Education courses.
