About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join this successful and highly motivated department at Eccles Sixth Form College as a Work Placement Officer within the Life Sciences Department. The Life Sciences department encompasses Animal Studies, Equine Studies, Veterinary Nursing, and Science. We are offering a position that covers 19.5 hours per week with flexibility on working days and reimbursed travel costs.

The main role with Animal and Equine studies is the Due Diligence Checks of work experience placements for the Technical Qualifications alongside the building and maintaining of relationships with key employers. The main role within Veterinary Nursing is the auditing/internal quality assurance of CSL (Clinical Skills Logs); you will be the key link between the students, their clinical coaches, and the curriculum team. You will also be responsible for Training Practices (TPs) Placement Location Approvals (PALs) and Due Diligence Checks.

The successful candidate will be a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN). They will be dedicated, enthusiastic, and self-motivated person with a passion for supporting the learning of veterinary nursing students within practice placement. We welcome applications from candidates with experience of being a clinical coach, assessor and/or internal quality assurer. This role requires a calm working approach, the ability to multi-task and be responsive to change, and flexibility and commitment.
