THE JOB

  • Deliver practical learning on a 1-2-1 basis or to small groups of pupils
  • Undertake teaching responsibility and ensure all pupils develop their knowledge and skills and make good progress in their learning.
  • Work with the Senior Leadership Team to deliver a sequenced curriculum which builds knowledge and skills towards agreed end points.
  • Effectively monitor the progress of each pupil, checking their understanding systematically and effectively, putting in place clearly directed and timely interventions.

THE PERSON

  • Good general standard of education (GCSE Grade 4 in English and Maths or equivalent)
  • Recognised teacher qualification an advantage
  • Proof of occupational competence and industry experience in woodwork/carpentry/construction trades
  • Experience in teaching, instructing or coaching groups
  • Experience of working with young people in an SEN environment an advantage
  • Passionate about the social and emotional wellbeing of children

SALARY:

£24,420 - £31,600 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience. This is the actual salary you will receive as you will be paid all year round including the school holidays.


WORKING HOURS:

Full-time | Monday to Friday between 8.45am and 4.45pm.
