Job overview

The West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges (WYCC) is a partnership between the seven Further Education Colleges in West Yorkshire. In 2016, the seven colleges developed a new Joint Venture that unites the region’s further education sector to work together to help improve the skills of the local workforce and ultimately  improve productivity across the Leeds City Region. As a result the WYCC is now seeking experienced individuals to join its team in delivering a number of skills projects across Leeds City Region funded through the European Strategic Investment Fund. The funding will deliver a number of three year projects designed to improve the skills levels of individuals working together with partners and stakeholders to fulfil the region’s skills priorities.

The post holders will be responsible for identifying and executing new leads for training & skills opportunities with employers within the Leeds City Region for the purposes of delivering the ESIF projects. The role will take a lead on ensuring effective customer service management in terms of generating employer engagement leads and developing new strategies on sector basis to secure anchor businesses to the programme. The successful individual will lead on a range of FE priorities related to the growth of the college sector as whole leading to substantial curriculum and quality outcomes & benefits for the WYCC College partners as result of the ESIF contracts.
