Pay £135 - £160 per day (Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications). The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are QTS and relevant and recent UK teaching experience.

Fixed term contract from 22nd February until July 2021 (subject to change if there is a  prolonged school closure).

Smart Teachers are looking to recruit a passionate and driven Year 1 Teacher to join a two-form entry primary school in Haringey. The school has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted with a strong leadership team working alongside a team of motivated and enthusiastic teachers and support staff. This is a fixed term contract starting from the 22nd February until the end of the academic year.

The role 

• Year 1 Teacher 

• Students have a mixed range of abilities 

• Some students within the class (approx. 3) require close support by 1:1 SEN Tas, who are already appointed and have experience with these students

• Motivated students who thrive off engaging and creative lessons

• Behaviour, on the whole, is good

• Previous experience within Year 1 and Phonics required 

• Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum essential

Requirements 

To be considered for the Year 1 Teaching position, you will: 

• Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree with QTS  

• Proven experience teaching the UK, or an equivalent, curriculum 

• Have strong behaviour management skills

• Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
