Year 10 Standards and Progress Leader

L8-10 (Full Time)

Required – 1st January 2022 or earlier if possible

Moulsham High School is a high performing comprehensive school that was ranked fifth in Essex in the 2019 performance tables. ‘Behaviour is calm and the atmosphere is productive and positive, making it a nice place to be’ (Ofsted 2020).  Leaders have a genuine commitment to the well-being and development of all staff.

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Standards and Progress Leader for Year 10, to take up post in January 2022 or sooner if possible. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future strategic direction of the school’s pastoral work under the leadership of the Deputy Headteacher.  The position has become vacant due to the promotion of the current post holder to Assistant Headteacher.

Standards and Progress Leaders are senior leaders of the school and, as part of the Executive team, meet with SLT three weekly. They are allocated a reduced teaching timetable to allow them time to support and monitor students effectively. Standards and Progress Leaders are supported by a team of Pastoral Managers.

Standards and Progress Leaders are accountable for the standards (including the attainment and progress outcomes) reached by all students within their year group.

Visits to the school prior to application are most welcome.  Please contact Kevin Adams, Recruitment, using the details below.

Closing Date:  Monday, 21st June 2021 at noon.
