Due to exponential demand for places, since readmissions have opened, we will be adding a number of classes to our Primary department for August 2023. So, we are seeking an enthusiastic primary school teacher to join our team.

Alongside the Cambridge objectives, we follow the Talk for Writing curriculum in English and White Rose Maths within our Primary school. We also use Monster Phonics in our English curriculum and are developing our inquiry approach to our Topic curriculum.

CIS Armenia is located in the heart of Yerevan, the vibrant and cosmopolitan capital city of the beautiful country of Armenia. Yerevan feels like a small European country. Armenians are well known for their generosity and friendly demeanour. Many teachers are able to save much of their salary and the Mediterranean is just a hop away on direct flights. Armenia is known for being one of the safest countries in the world with striking natural beauty across the country.

CIS Armenia is an international school which provides high-quality, affordable education for students from Early Years to Year 13 (3 to 18 years of age). The school follows the Cambridge International Curriculum and prides itself on high academic standards whilst developing the student's character in a caring, creative and respectful teaching and learning environment. Our students are a delight to teach. We greatly value all our staff and ensure they are part of the major decision-making across the school as well as ensuring we manage their workload so they can be the very best teacher they can be.

The school currently enrols 210 students from EYFS to Year 12 (expanding to Year 13). It is a single-form entry school, with a maximum of 18 students in each class. It has a wonderful community spirit. The school and teachers are very well supported by the parents. The school is expanding, with plans to move into a specifically designed and built new campus in the next three years. As a result, there are excellent professional development and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications required:

·      Bachelor of Education (Primary), or a Degree plus PGCE or PGDE

·      QTS or equivalent teacher registration

·      Taught as a class teacher in a Primary school setting within the last 3 years
