Olga Gudynn International School (OGIS) is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Class Teacher to join our primary team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to support young learners at a key stage in their development, fostering curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.
The successful candidate will deliver a broad and engaging curriculum based on the Cambridge Primary Curriculum, supporting pupils’ academic progress as well as their personal and social development.
Key Responsibilities
● Teach a Year 2 class within the primary phase
● Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge Primary Curriculum
● Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress
● Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
● Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents
● Contribute to the wider life of the school, including events and activities
Person Specification
● A degree in Primary Education or a relevant subject
● PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification
● Experience teaching in the primary phase (preferably Key Stage 1)
● Familiarity with or experience teaching the Cambridge Primary Curriculum is desirable
● Strong classroom management and organisational skills
● A nurturing and child-centred approach to teaching
● Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
