Year 2 Class Teacher (Part-Time: 2 or 3 days a week)

Piper’s Vale is a two form entry school that is on an exciting journey of improvement. The school is in the northeast of Ipswich, close to the A14 and Orwell River with woodlands and local sports provision close by. The school has a very child-centred approach that tries to nurture the whole child and provide support to the whole family where needed. The school has a rapidly rising roll with 354 pupils currently on roll in the main school and another 26 pupils in our morning nursery class. The school itself is a modern purpose built building which opened in September 2002. The school benefits from a large open space outside which includes a school field, pond area and adventure playground. Within the school building we have large classrooms with shared activity areas and outdoor provision for Nursery, Reception and Year 1. The school also benefits from a large and vibrant library, an ICT suite, a good size school hall, community room and Nurture Group space.

Our school ethos is for all pupils to achieve their personal best through an exciting and engaging curriculum. As a result of this, for the last two years our year 6 outcomes have been well above the national floor standard and we aspire to improve these even more.

We are keen to appoint a Year 2 class teacher who is truly passionate about teaching and is able to motivate and engage learners so that they are able to achieve positive outcomes for themselves and develop strong and secure foundations, which will set them on the right path for their continued educational career.
