A school in the Chaddesden area of Derby is looking for a year 2 teacher to fill a sickness leave starting in September. The school have asked me to find a teacher capable of leading a class of 30 children and following the curriculum. They also ask that any teacher who applies has recent experience in a similar role either in a year 2 class or another key stage 1 role. The school is proud of its recent ‘good’ Ofsted results and wishes to strive to upkeep its reputation as well as push itself higher.
The school has ample parking for both full time and part time staff and is also accessible from a local bus route following a short 5 minute walk. The senior leadership team have also made it clear that they will be on hand to assist with any issues or extra help a new teacher could need when integrating into their school. Each year in the lower school has its own TA or HLTA available to ensure children who need extra help have the opportunity for a 1:1 at least every week.
The role is advertised to end at Christmas as it is a long term supply cover role, however if the school get on well with a candidate then they may extend their contract.
