Vision for Education are looking to appoint a Key Stage 1 Teacher to work in one of our highly rated client schools in the Newcastle area. This position is set to begin immediately until December, with the view to extend further. The class teacher will be working in a Year 2 class of which the ideal candidate will have experience of teaching in. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). 

The role

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a Year 2 class and be able to deliver the Read, Write, Inc Phonics Programme. The school are ideally wanting to appoint someone who has experience of supporting pupils to prepare for their Year 2 SATS. Additionally, they must be able to implement excellent behaviour management strategies and high expectations within the classroom to allow pupils to progress and achieve highly.

This is a smaller than average primary establishment in Outer West Newcastle, which is supported by a fantastic teaching team and Governors. The school are seeking to employ a teacher who is ambitious and can bring new and exciting ideas into the school setting with the view to make a positive impact on the education of all pupils. 

Requirements

To be considered for the Year 2 Teacher position, you will:

• Hold a minimum of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Have experience of supporting and preparing pupils for KS1 SATS.

• Have excellent behaviour management.

• Be able to provide outstanding provision for all pupils.

• Have had experience of supporting children with diverse needs.
