British International School – Barranquilla is a co-educational independent all-through school. It is based in Atlántico in Colombia. 

The school was founded in 1981. Children can enter the Early Years section starting at age of 3. From Nursery to Year 11, all the school’s international academic programmes are validated by Cambridge University and follow England's national curriculum from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4. From their first day at school, all students become members of one of the school’s four houses: Wellington, Darwin, Shakespeare and Churchill. In Year 10 students are offered a series of IGCSE courses, with exams being presented at the end of Year 11. In Years 12 and 13, students can also take the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme.

British International School – Barranquilla wishes to provide the foundation for its students to become autonomous, self-confident and committed from their earliest years. It also aims, through the facilities and educational opportunities it offers, to make its students feel cared for and safe at all times. A heavy emphasis is also placed on the development of students’ personal and social principles, good manners, courtesy and etiquette.
