ABC Teachers are working on behalf of a ‘good’ school located in Tipton. This school is looking to recruit an SEN TA to work 1.1 with a pupil in Year 4 who is on the autism spectrum alongside ADHD. The pupil in question is not physically aggressive, however does show a few signs of verbal aggression when he gets frustrated. This role is due to start ASAP and is ongoing, the school do not know how long this pupil will need to be supportive for.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with Autism and ADHD in a school setting. You will need to be firm but fair and understand the pupil’s needs at all times. There is an area within the class where this pupil can have some 1.1 time away from the other children in times where disruption is high.
At this school the Teachers have high expectations and strive to make learning enjoyable and stimulating at all times. You will need to be a team player and be able to adapt to all situations you come across. They have a very friendly and welcoming environment and strive to make it a great learning environment for all children. The head of the school is very supportive and gives help and understanding to all staff members and pupils.
Located in Tipton, this makes it the ideal school for teaching assistants that live in Dudley, Sandwell and Wolverhampton. There are great public transport routes for those who don’t drive and is situated just of the M5 and M6.
