Year 4 Teacher needed!
A year 4 class at a school near Castle Donnington are in need of a new teacher to cover a maternity leave starting in September. The role will be on a job share basis, consisting of either 2 or 3 days per week with at least one other day covered by a newly retired member of staff. The school are looking for a teacher who is willing to get stuck in from the offset, as they don’t want the children to miss out on key opportunities for learning.
The school itself are very active in terms of academics and encourage children to learn via school trips, interactive lessons on whiteboards as well as through the use of 1:1 tuition with a Teaching Assistant. Anyone who wishes to be considered for the role should be aware that they would be expected to take on all of the responsibilities of a full time teacher including parent’s evenings, staff meetings and monitoring the students in terms of safeguarding.
The school is on the southern side of Derbyshire meaning it is still accessible to those in Derby and out the east towards Long Eaton. Each class has around 25 pupils and one TA assigned to the year.
In order to apply for this role you must hold qualified teacher status and have recent experience within a similar role.

To be considered for this position you will be required to attend a face to face registration and hold an enhanced DBS check in Child Workforce. You will need to pay for this upfront, but once you are fully registered, have uploaded this onto the Update Service and have worked 1 full day with us then we will reimburse you the cost. At the registration we will discuss in more detail the work that you are looking for, your experience to date, and also how we are going to work best for you.
