The Junior School provides an exceptional foundation for pupils, combining academic ambition with strong pastoral care and a vibrant co-curricular programme. It is a school within a school, retaining the warm and welcoming feel of a small junior school while benefiting from the spacious grounds and high-quality facilities of the wider Exeter School campus. With nearly 200 pupils and small class sizes, the Junior School maintains high academic standards while fostering curiosity, kindness and confidence in its pupils.

The successful candidate will join an experienced and supportive team committed to providing an outstanding educational experience, both in the classroom and through the rich range of extra-curricular opportunities the Junior School offers.

We seek applications from candidates with a strong track record in teaching a variety of subjects at KS2 level along with excellent professional knowledge of curriculum, management, school organisation and current educational issues. You will be an outstanding classroom practitioner who can inspire and challenge our pupils with a proven track record of success in raising standards and in innovative teaching. The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate the highest standards of pastoral care and be able to extend our children beyond the national curriculum.

The role will attract a competitive salary as well as generous benefits including employer pension contribution, free school lunch during term time, free on-site parking, discretionary staff discount on school fees and use of indoor swimming pool and fitness suite. Our website provides further information on benefits and our careers with character.
