Kingsley School is a co-educational independent boarding school with students from 2-19 years old, located in the beautiful UNESCO Biosphere of North Devon and one of only 12 World Surf Reserves worldwide. Designated as an Earth Centre with a focus on sustainability and environmental education and with its very own surf academy, Kingsley School invites applications to join its dynamic Prep School to teach Year 5 students in the Prep School, and to achieve that perfect work-life balance where the wellbeing and mental health of staff and students is the number one priority. Kingsley School is located in the coastal town of Bideford, Devon, within a UNESCO Biosphere and World Surf Reserve. The school occupies 25 acres of beautiful grounds situated above the town of Bideford, just 5 minutes from the beaches at Westward Ho! and Instow, and the picturesque fishing village of Appledore. The school is co-educational and has around 420 students aged 2-18 accommodated in the Nursery, Pre-Prep, Prep and Senior Schools. Approximately 75 of our students are boarders, with the rest being day students.
An academically non-selective school, Kingsley School can boast of a wide range of facilities including a fully floodlit all-weather 3G pitch, a theatre, and further impressive sports, arts, surfing, outdoor education and environmental facilities. We are an Artsmark school and have won a number of national awards and competitions in sport, STEM, the arts, surfing and environmentalism.
