Job overview

“King’s Warrington – Winner of the first National Character Award”

The Governing body are seeking to appoint a passionate teacher to join an outstanding school.  Applications are welcomed from NQTs and experienced candidates.

King’s is an 11-18 provider that was founded on traditional values. The school is highly regarded and significantly oversubscribed.  In the 2018 national performance tables, King's was ranked in the top 2% of schools in the North West.

The school is forward thinking and has established a scholarly community, where innovative teachers develop talented students. The successful candidate will be a skilled Year 6 or KS3 practitioner who is passionate about supporting the transition of Year 7 students to ensure a successful start to their secondary education.  This role operates under a reduced timetable, focusing primarily on English and Maths teaching, along with small group interventions.  At King's we believe true inclusion means giving every child the opportunity to succeed.   To support this, the curriculum is very well planned, with schemes of work designed to support teacher work-life balance through minimal marking and research-informed content.

As a school we are unique in our approach, in that we seek to develop character and leadership skills in our students, we are not an exam factory.  Every student at the school is conscientious, hardworking and an absolute pleasure to teach - our staff never have ‘Sunday night dread’.  For the successful candidate, this represents a rare opportunity to join a caring team of outstanding practitioners, dedicated to each other’s well-being and the future of every child.

The school is committed to safeguarding and child welfare, appointments will be subject to Enhanced DBS.

The closing date for applications is noon on Tuesday 21st May.  Interviews will be held on Thursday 23rd May.

Please return completed application forms to our office manager Ms Stacey Taylor s.taylor1@kingswarrington.com
