The position will commence due to the current Year 6 class teacher going on maternity leave. The chosen applicant will therefore be expected to take on the full class teacher role including all planning, assessment and extracurricular responsibilities. A comprehensive handover will be given including some brief planning for the rest of the academic year to enable a smooth transition for the pupils.
The Head Teacher is specifically looking for a dedicated teacher who will take to this role with the determination to encourage pupil progression and provide engaging and informative lessons. All applicants must be confident in their subject knowledge, specifically maths and literacy as the role will have a large focus on SATS preparation. Excellent behaviour management is necessary.
