Sharples School Multi-Academy Trust is a Group 6, 11-16 mixed comprehensive with 850 pupils on roll, situated in the North of Bolton in pleasant surroundings. The school provides stimulating and innovative opportunities for learning, transforming the aspirations and educational outcomes for all students and the local community. Sharples was judged ‘Good’ at its last inspection in 2013, with areas of outstanding practice.
The governing board is seeking to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to complement our dynamic team of pastoral staff in providing professional leadership of a cohort of students and tutors in order to secure a positive ethos, high quality educational experience and high and improving standards of learning and achievement.
The successful candidate will possess excellent organisational skills and will be able to relate well with groups of students to overcome barriers to learning and achievement and promote high standards of attendance, academic progress and behaviour.
Additional days may be required to support learning projects during school holidays.
