Job overview

A rare opportunity has arisen to join our team of Year Directors to provide strategic direction and development for a given Year Group in all areas of school life, to ensure that it is well led and managed. The role includes:

  • advising colleagues on teaching and learning strategies;
  • working collaboratively with Heads of Faculty and Heads of Department as well as the SENDCO;
  • promoting and monitoring the progress made by students in the Year Group, supporting pastoral needs to enable success.

This is a high-profile and responsible role within the school and provides an opportunity for career progression into Senior Leadership. The vacancy has arisen as a result of two of our current Year Directors securing more senior roles in other settings.

Our Year Directors are assigned to a year group and follow them through their school career. We are currently working to fill Year Director opportunities for Years 7 and 8 for September 2024.

The role is a teaching role and the teaching subject will be discussed at interview and current specialism should not prevent you from applying.

Further details about the role can be downloaded below.

Closing date: 10.00am on Tuesday 21st May 2024
