This is an extremely exciting time to be joining Leeds City Academy, one of the most rapidly improving schools within the Leeds area and county of West Yorkshire. We are an 11-16 academy and one of four schools within White Rose Academies Trust, a trust recognised nationally for its ground-breaking and transformational impact on the lives of the young people it serves. The academy had a Section 5 Inspection in May 2019 achieving an overall Good judgement with Leadership and Management judged as Outstanding

Working closely with the Year Manager Leader, you will champion the pastoral care, personal development and safeguarding of students, ensuring that every young person feels known, supported and empowered to succeed.

In this vital role, you will:

  • Tackle attendance concerns and work proactively to remove barriers to learning.

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students, families, colleagues and external agencies to ensure timely support for those who need it most.

  • Uphold high expectations through consistent application of the Leeds City Academy Way, providing calm and effective leadership when managing behaviour and disciplinary matters.

  • Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to create an inclusive environment where every student can flourish.
