Year Progress Leader (PL)
Permanent/Full Time
MPS/UPS Outer London (TLR2b)
Required September 2023
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Year Progress Leader to join the Secondary Phase in our heavily oversubscribed school which has a reputation for providing outstanding support for staff and students. The successful candidate will lead and manage student progress across the curriculum, attendance and behaviour for an assigned year cohort.
Edmonton County School always looks to recruit committed and ambitious professionals who are keen to develop their talents. Potential is more important than length of experience. This is a teaching role - if you have experience in teaching GCSE English, Science, Religious Studies, Computer Science, Music or Drama, that would an advantage. However, teachers of any subject should apply.
Apply online direct through TES or download an application pack from the school website www.edmontoncounty.co.uk or email us at ECSRecruitment@edact.org.uk
Applications are to be received no later than 9am on Monday 24 April 2023.
Provisionally, interviews will be held on Friday 28 April 2023, but applications will be processed as received.
CVs will not be accepted as formal application.

Edmonton County School is a popular 2-19 mixed, community, comprehensive school with a long history of providing a high-quality education to the communities of Enfield and Edmonton. Although we are a large organisation, with nearly 1900 pupils and around 250 staff making up our school community, our dual-campus structure means that the young people in our care have the experience of being in a caring and supportive environment that much smaller schools can offer. The Primary Phase of our school (based on our Bury Campus) is a recently-built, two-form entry primary school which prides itself on its warm and nurturing approach. Edmonton County School always looks to recruit committed and ambitious professionals who are keen to develop their talents, and we are proud of our comprehensive professional development programmes and our reputation for developing all our staff at every stage in their careers.

Values and Vision
Our founding motto is ‘Non Nobis Solum’ (‘Not for Ourselves Alone’), and our core aim is “Educating our Community for Success” which we strive to deliver through our six core values: Equity and Inclusivity; Compassion and Respect; Support and Challenge. We value education as the means to unlocking potential and creating life opportunities for all those that study and work at our school. We believe that every child has the right to a high-quality education, learning in a safe learning environment that encourages positive working relationships with others and the development of the ‘whole child’. All students are nurtured and encouraged to develop their individual skills and abilities in a wide range of academic and social contexts, and to take increasing responsibility for their learning. Good manners and outstanding behaviour are demanded from all students.
Ofsted (April 2024)
The school has a strong commitment to supporting pupils’ academic success. To achieve this, leaders have designed a curriculum that meets the needs of pupils, including pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Teachers have strong subject knowledge. High academic expectations are well matched by the school’s support for pupils’ well-being. Pupils feel safe and cared for. Throughout the school, pupils’ behaviour is typically calm and respectful during lessons. This enables teachers to focus on teaching the curriculum. As a result, in the secondary phase, pupils make strong gains by the end of Year 11, as published outcomes show. Pupils in the primary phase achieve well in primary national assessments in reading and mathematics and in the Year 4 multiplication[1]tables check. Significantly more students proceed successfully on to further study at the end of the sixth form than is nationally the case.
