We are looking to appoint a Year Team Assistant for our Sixth Form who be responsible for managing and monitoring absence/punctuality of our Sixth Form students, maintaining student records and administrating Sixth Form bursary.  This role also plays a prominent role in the pastoral support and behaviour management including supervising the use of the study area, initially investigating incidents plus monitoring, mentoring and organising rewards and sanctions.  You will need a good general education, an interest in how young people learn and enthusiasm for supporting young people in a school setting.  Having a background and experience of working in the public services e.g. Education, Health, Police would be desirable. 

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic self-starter who will relish the opportunity of developing the Sixth Form pastoral systems and will be passionate about supporting our young people to achieve.

The role is for 36 hours per week. Two weeks to be worked in August at the time of external exam results – actual days to be agreed with Line Manager.

Hatch End High School is a highly successful multi-cultural Academy located in Harrow, London.

Sixth-form facilities were opened on the site in 2010 and a brand new rebuild in 2019. The school currently has approximately 1,250 students aged 11-18, including 270 in the Sixth Form.
