Yr 5 Teacher - Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, DARRA

The successful applicant will:

 

• have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
• hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers; and
• be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
  
  

We are seeking a Year 5 classroom teacher, committed to providing a valuable contribution to our school for the remainder of the school year. The successful candidate will optimally have experience and enthusiasm for challenging and supporting students with quality learning and teaching. This includes a keen motivation to innovate and to use technologies and differentiation to address a wide range of 21st century learning needs. The Year 5 and 6 students engage with a 1:1 iPad program, so experience with a range of applications related to learning is optimal. The candidate will have proven collaborative, organisational, behavioural and communication skills.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School is a co-educational Catholic school in the Brisbane suburb of Darra, administered by the Brisbane Catholic Education Office. The school is currently has 520 students enrolled in 21 classes from Prep to Year 6. OLSH School has an ethos based on Gospel Values. Our focus is showing respect for each other. Employment Tenure:   Full Time + Fixed Term

This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
