PSHE Lesson resource on the issue of unconscious bias and stereotyping, this lesson particularly focuses on the reasons for unconscious bias and stereotyping, we also offer a lesson here on this topic area which focuses on the consequences of these things. The lesson gives clear information on the meaning of these terms before getting pupils to look at a a variety of ways in which they can arise, the lesson uses this to get pupils to consider how we can work to overcome unconscious bias and acting on stereotypes.
This is an easy to follow power point lesson (no prior planning, printing or preparation required). The resource is designed to be delivered as one 60 minute lesson but all of our resources are fully editable and designed to allow sections to be added, removed or changed should you need to do so.
No previous knowledge in the subject area is needed, the lesson is easily deliverable by someone who is not a subject specialist or an experienced PSHE or teacher. Meets PSHE Guidance
