Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint an outstanding teacher and graduate to lead our successful Physics department through its next phase of development. Physics is taught as a discrete subject from year 7 and is extremely popular at A level, with 5 classes in each of year 12 and 13. The Physics department itself is staffed by a team of highly qualified Russell Group university graduates and we are looking to appoint a colleague with a strong and proven track record of teaching Physics successfully to ‘A’ level.
As a middle leader, you will be a key member of our Teaching and Learning Group and work alongside our talented team of Lead Teachers to drive up standards across the school.
Brampton Manor is a high achieving 11-18 school with over 2000 pupils on roll. We are massively over-subscribed in the pre and post 16 age groups. In 2012, we were graded outstanding in all categories by Ofsted. GCSE and A level results in 2016 are the best in Newham and the region. There is a distinctive ethos within our school, which combines a relatively informal supportive approach with a sharp focus on learning and achievement.
So whether you’re a current Head/Deputy Head of Physics/Science or an ambitious teacher looking for the next step up, it’s time we talked.
