Job overview

St Teresa’s College Abergowrie is situated in the beautiful Herbert River Valley, west of Ingham, North Queensland.  The College is a residential Boys Agricultural College with 190 students with a strong commitment to educating Indigenous students. The College has undergone major refurbishments in both the school and residential facilities.

To be considered for the position of Head of Residence, you will have;

  • Two or more years of experience in a boarding school setting
  • Experience in residence management and supervision of student development personnel
  • Must be a team-player and demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and analyse processes

Applicants will be responsible for providing overall leadership to the residential community, provide leadership and direction for development of interpersonal relationships with and among students in residence.  Serves as a point of contact and reference for students and visitors

You will be required to complete Student Protection Training and have, or obtain, a current Working with Children Suitability Card (Blue Card) or be able to attain one prior to your commencement.

This role is a full time position and will commence January 2019.  Please review the Position Description prior to applying for this role.
