Al Khor International School is a 4 to 18, co-educational and non-selective international school. Owned by QatarEnergy LNG, the world's largest producer of liquefied natural gas, AKIS caters for the children of the company's employees. We are one of the largest international schools in the Middle East, with approximately 4,000 students across our British and CBSE curriculum schools. The school has exceptional facilities and is located in the Al Khor Community, 40 minutes north of Qatar's capital city, Doha.
The opportunity:
We are seeking a talented and dynamic professional to lead learning support services from September 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing learning support, digital learning, and library services across the school. The successful candidate will drive inclusive practices, enhance teaching and learning, strengthen digital integration, and ensure high-quality learning resources for all students.
Skills and qualities:
Commitment to student well-being and learning
Degree and teaching certificate
Experience in a British or international school
Strong communication and people skills
High-level of cultural awareness and sensitivity
Experience in leading digital learning initiatives and managing multidisciplinary teams
Key responsibilities:
Leadership of learning support, digital learning, and library services in alignment with the school’s strategic goals and objectives.
Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams, ensuring strong performance management, professional growth, and high service standards.
Strengthen inclusive provision through effective systems, data-informed decision-making, and targeted student support.
Drive innovation in digital learning, embedding impactful educational technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
Ensure outstanding library services that enrich curriculum delivery and student learning experiences.
Contribute to strategic planning, policy development, and compliance, ensuring alignment with local regulations and international best practice.

A co-educational and non-selective school, AKIS offers the following provision to students from Kindergarten through to Post 16 (3-18 years of age):
- British Curriculum (BC)
- Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) of India
- Ministry of Education and Higher Education Curriculum, including Arabic Language, Qatar History and Islamic Studies.
