Farlington is an independent co-educational day and boarding school, providing exceptional, all-round education for boys and girls aged 4 to 18, located on the West Sussex / Surrey border.

Founded in 1896, Farlington School is nestled in 33 acres of Sussex parkland on the outskirts of the delightful market town of Horsham. Just 25 minutes' drive from Gatwick Airport and within easy reach of Central London and the South Coast, our location is both idyllic and convenient.

Formerly an all-girls' school, we began welcoming boys in 2018 and will be fully co-educational by September 2021. We are very proud to be the only independent school for boys and girls aged 4 to 18 in the Horsham area.

At Farlington, our vision is to inspire our students to embrace learning in all its forms. We are a forward-thinking school where academic success and co-curricular achievement are valued equally. Every pupil is nurtured here, and encouraged to fulfil his or her potential whilst engaging with opportunity. No subject is considered off limits; no position of responsibility unattainable.

We are proudly and intentionally a smaller school, where each student is valued and where opportunities abound. Pastoral care is paramount, with the happiness and wellbeing of every student at the core of daily life. Farlington’s ‘can-do’ philosophy instils confidence in our students, enabling them to thrive as they go out into the world and shape their own future.

Our aim is to instil a long-lasting love of learning. We stretch the most able and support the least confident, so that they each fulfil their individual academic potential.

Our most recent Independent Schools Inspectorate report described Farlington School as providing ‘an excellent curriculum with outstanding teaching’. Our staff pride themselves on an ability to harness a child’s academic talents and our priority is to provide an education which challenges and inspires.
