We are looking for a candidate with a passion for History and teaching, with a strong background and subject knowledge and the ability to teach another subject where possible. The position could suit a wide variety of enthusiastic candidates: from novice or experienced teachers looking for a rewarding professional experience, to recent graduates/ post-graduates/post-doctoral researchers wanting to become teachers. The candidate must have a strong academic background and be willing to contribute to the wider life of the School.
The School’s salary scale is substantially above the national scale.
St Paul’s is a selective Independent Day School for boys aged 13-18, occupying a superb 45-acre site on the south bank of the Thames, west of Hammersmith Bridge. St Paul’s School excels academically at both A level and GCSE, with some of the highest national scores, but it is the work beyond the curriculum that excites both students and teachers alike.

About St Paul's School
St Paul’s School was founded in 1509 and currently occupies a large site in Barnes, south-west London. A selective independent school, it provides an education for boys aged 7-18 and has boarding facilities for a small number of its students.
Prospective entrants are usually expected to pass online and/or written examinations across a range of subjects, as well as undergoing an interview with a senior member of staff. In order to improve accessibility for students from poorer backgrounds, a wide range of bursaries and scholarships are available for boys who reach the required academic standard.
