The successful candidate will:

·      Lead, manage, develop, and be accountable for a year team and the programme for a specific cohort of students in order to ensure the highest possible standards of student achievement, personal development and well-being.

·      Be responsible for the strategic direction and development of the year group. Leading and managing staff, student progress and standards of achievement, personal development, safeguarding and well-being.

·      Be responsible for the efficient and effective deployment of staff and resources

·      Be responsible for contributing to whole school development and improvement

·      Be an influential teacher who is committed to getting the best outcomes for the students in our school

·      Be committed to equal opportunities for all and to the safeguarding and welfare of young people

Whitmore High School is a mixed, non-denominational community comprehensive secondary school and sixth form for pupils aged 11-18. It is located in the London Borough of Harrow, and is operated by the local council.

Whitmore was founded in 1974, and has about 1,600 pupils.
