Job overview
Newcastle School of Education is keen to recruit highly motivated and dynamic teaching specialists to join the team within our rapidly expanding School of Education. The successful applicants will join a department which leads a Centre for Excellence in Teacher Training in the Further Education and Skills Sector and provides teacher training and professional development for both the FE and compulsory sectors. The School also supports training for NCG staff based in Colleges, work-based learning, youth and street engagement and Higher Education and the successful candidate will be able to adapt and work productively with teaching and training staff across these settings.
All applicants must have extensive teaching experience. We would prefer the candidate to have teacher development/training experience but will train and develop the successful applicants. The successful candidate will hold a degree level specialist qualification or equivalent and a teaching qualification.
We are looking for applicants with teaching experience in one or more of the following areas;
- Maths, Science or Technology
- English, literacy or ESOL
- LDD/SEN
The successful candidate must be prepared to work flexibly, working in the evening and be prepared to travel as part of their work to support professional development for NCG colleagues across England
