Job overview
“As a whole school, Fullbrook fully subscribe to the transforming power of the Arts to enrich young people’s lives. Throughout my NQT year, I have found the senior leadership team to be welcoming, supportive and empowering. The Creative Arts faculty are a committed and passionate ensemble, dedicated to ensuring that students fulfill their potential both as people and as artists.”
Miss Appleby – Teacher of Drama
Fullbrook is a mixed 11-18 Academy classified by Ofsted in March 2017 as Good. In 2017, 84% of students achieved five or more GCSEs at 4+ including English and maths.
At Fullbrook we believe all students should be challenged to achieve more than they ever thought possible, and offer a variety of extra-curricular activities, including the Duke of Edinburgh scheme and whole school musical productions to enhance our students’ talents.
We currently seek an enthusiastic Teacher of Drama (additional experience of teaching English would be advantageous), to join a friendly department focused on raising achievement through an innovative curriculum, underpinned by strong teaching.
Fullbrook values drama as part of the curriculum and the subject proves to be popular and successful at KS4 and KS5, often offering wider opportunities to students within the school.
The Creative Arts faculty is committed and forward thinking, and as a member of the team, you will be fully involved with our curricular and extra-curricular programme of productions and events.
Fullbrook offers a fully, tailored CPD programme which supports the needs of staff and encourages progression.
Whether you’re an experienced teacher wishing to broaden your experience, or an ambitious and dynamic NQT, we want to hear from you.
Details of the school and an application form are available on our school website.
Closing date: Thursday 15 February 2018.
Fullbrook is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS clearance.

About Fullbrook School
As a large, mixed, comprehensive we provide a high quality education for students from Year 7 to 13, with our F6 students studying their A-levels in our new sixth form building and facilities. Our research-based approach to learning leads to strong outcomes for our students, with many going on to study at Russell Group Universities. Despite our size, we know our students well and value their individual skills and aspirations.
Our most recent OFSTED (March 22) made reference to the ‘Fullbrook family’ which captures our warm, positive atmosphere. Our aim is to ensure that during their time at Fullbrook, our students develop into confident and articulate young adults with a lifelong thirst for knowledge and a clear desire to make a positive contribution to society.
Fullbrook is based in New Haw, Surrey with excellent transport links, whether it be by bus, train or car. The nearest train station is West Byfleet (about 8 minutes walk) and we are closely situated to both the M25 and A3. We have free parking on site.
