WELFARE OFFICER

The successful candidate will:

·   Supervise the medical room and be the first point of contact for anyone who requires medical attention.

·   Manage and administer medications held in school – store securely, keep records up to date, monitor expiry dates and request replacements as required.

·   Ensure the school is provided with Individual Health Care Plans (IHCP) and keep accurate records of these

·   Ensure the accident report logbook and forms are properly completed and completing accident reports in line with RIDDOR regulations including records of hazardous materials usage

·   Possess strong organisational skills with the ability to show initiative, prioritise own work load and meet all deadlines and remain calm under pressure

·   Be a positive team player, working collaboratively and believe in the importance of team work and a collaborative approach

·   Be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible in their approach with

·   Be reliable with excellent attendance and punctuality

·   Be committed to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and the principles and practice of equal opportunities

·    Be committed to the principles and practice of safeguarding all young people

Whitmore High School is a mixed, non-denominational community comprehensive secondary school and sixth form for pupils aged 11-18. It is located in the London Borough of Harrow, and is operated by the local council.

Whitmore was founded in 1974, and has about 1,600 pupils.
