We are seeking to appoint a forward thinking and enthusiastic Head of Computer Science to join our modern, well-resourced school and excellent Computer Science Department. You will have a real appetite to educate the next generation, along with passion and enthusiasm for your subject. As the Head of Computer Science, you will have responsibility for student outcomes, teaching and learning, as well as supporting and developing teachers within the well-resourced faculty. Along with being an excellent classroom practitioner, you will be able to inspire students to the potential’s within computer science.
The Queen Elizabeth Academy is an 11-16 mixed academy based in Atherstone with approximately 600 pupils on roll. Following our recent Ofsted inspection in May 2017, we were shown to be “Good with Outstanding features”, a real testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff and students. Our summer examination results were fantastic. Our performance was well above National Averages in key performance criteria and our Progress 8 score of +0.35 was quite stunning. In November 2016, as part of the Priority School Building Programme, we moved into brand new premises that have given us access to fantastic new facilities, which really set us apart in the locality. We are a forward thinking school, always looking for areas to develop and improve as well as being very open to new ideas; we feel this is the best way to ensure consistent development and attainment of our students

The Queen Elizabeth Academy is part of the Academy Transformation Trust family of academies.
We are located in the historic North Warwickshire town of Atherstone. The school’s traditions are founded upon the opening of the original Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in 1573.
