Collingwood College has a flourishing History and Citizenship Department.
This role will support the successful implementation and development of the school’s academic and pastoral programme as a member of the Humanities Team. The role is Full Time. ECTs will also be considered. We also welcome applications from those returning to work after a career break.
We are looking for a suitable candidate to teach History and or Citizenship. A preference to also teach Psychology, Sociology or Criminology would be considered for the right candidate.
There is also a TLR 2.1 for Coordinator of Criminology that is being recruited for and a separate job description for this role
Your Role:
- Inspire and educate students
- Create dynamic lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Foster critical thinking and a love for literature and writing.
- Monitor and support student progress, ensuring every student reaches their full potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve teaching methods and share best practices.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. (Applications from ECTs welcome and career returners welcome)
- A passion for subject of expertise.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to professional development and growth.

About Collingwood College
Based in Surrey, Collingwood College was created in 1971 to educate children between the ages of 11 and 18. It is a secondary, coeducational, academy converted school. It currently has around 1,797 students enrolled at the establishment. The Camberley town school gained the Grant Maintained status in 1991. In 1994, the school became a Self-Governing Technology College. It is a non-denominational school. When the academy was created it was through an amalgamation of Bagshot County Secondary School, Barossa County Secondary School and Frimley and Camberley Grammar School.

Pupils receive a good all-round education here. Although the school is large, pupils feel that they are valued as individuals.
